Hundreds of participants from across the city, suburbs and out of town will gather for the 2nd running of a chip-timed 5K run & walk.
The site will be the historic Congressional Cemetery (near the Stadium-Armory Metro Station), with a course that follows the Anacostia River up to RFK Stadium and back. A post-race party brought to you by JR’s Bar will follow the run, with music, complimentary beers for race participants and volunteers (must be 21 w/ ID) and an awards presentation to top race finishers. Race management will be provided by Pacers Events. Participants receive a tech shirt.
Thanks to everyone who attended the annual United Night OUT on September 14. It started with a great Tailgate Partyhosted by the Federal Triangles, a stirring performance of the National Anthem by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington and a well-played game that ended in a 2-2 tie with the L.A. Galaxy.
Special thanks to the D.C. United Soccer Club who have been strong supporters of the LGBT community through numerous efforts including creating a new banner that will be on display at ALL future home games. (See below.)
Check out the great video from Metro Weekly of the 2012 Night OUT at the Nationals. Special thanks to Congressman Jared Polis (D-CO) for throwing out the First Pitch and Benjamin Jealous, President of the NAACP, who delivered the official line-up cards for the Nationals that evening.
Join us in 2013 for the entire Night OUT Series including TWO Night OUT at the Nationals games:
