On May 19, 2015, the Boards of the Federation of Gay Games (FGG) and the Gay and Lesbian International Sports Association (GLISA) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development and production of One World Event to be held in 2022. This represents an historic breakthrough in international LGBT sports and cultural communities.
Team DC was recently asked by the negotiating team that represents both organizations to convene a Town Hall Meeting so that local members could be informed about the options currently under discussion. They have expressed a sincere interest in hearing from the community about these negotiations and the future of events such as the Gay Games and Outgames.
We will have representatives of both the Federation of Gay Games and the Gay and Lesbian International Sports Association (GLISA which produces the Outgames) there to hear directly from the community. While sports clubs and cultural organizations are strongly encouraged to attend, the meeting is open to everyone.
Light refreshments will be served and attendees will have the opportunity to enter a free raffle for a FREE Registration to Gay Games X in 2018 in Paris, France.

Team DC is pleased to partner with Studio Theater for their production of “Jumpers for Goalposts”, a hilarious play about a mostly gay amateur soccer team. (It got a great review in the Post!) We will sponsor a special Team DC Night on Friday, June 19 with tickets for just $25. (Normally $78…this is a REAL DEAL!) This show will sell out and tickets are limited, so don’t delay and get your tickets HERE. There will be a Meet & Greet with the cast afterwards.
